A couple of things to know.

Where do I find the VIN or chassis number?

On the logbook, on a plate at the bottom of the windscreen on the driver's side, and stamped on the chassis. Japanese imports often have a shorter frame number, such as NZE161-0004217; that works too.

Where does the information come from?

Licensed history providers in the UK and Japan, Kenyan sources where we have lawful access, partner garages, and documents you upload. Each finding says which kind of source it came from.

What if you find nothing?

If we find no history for the car, you get a full refund. A check that could not run is never shown as clean.

How can someone check my report is genuine?

Every report has an ID. Anyone can enter it on our verification page to confirm the version and date, without seeing the full report.
